Enriching Communities through Cinema

Action speaks louder than words, add some lights and camera into the equation and we have art in motion. Art that can communicate with the audience from 2 minutes to two hours and leave them awestruck, possibly in tears, preferably inspired to act. At LOCO’MOTION we love to bring these moments of art to life.

We believe in engaging emotionally with communities through a screen, projector, and people’s reality as well as imagination. We love to screen films that inspire, educate and raise awareness amongst communities towards living an enriched life whilst creating a better world.
We are a social enterprise, initiated by the community for the community.

Develop meaningful film culture and establish it as a form of art, source of learning, cultural exchange and spread its values amongst residents.
Provide innovative cultural programming and enrich communities through the presentation of artistic endeavors.
Build communities and create communal experiences for residents through specialized screenings.
Educate and entertain communities, through meaningful and inspiring content.

Community Cinema

Community cinema is the future. Community screenings in informal settings interacts with the audience in a powerful way. It can change the way we see the world, influence behavior, elevate the soul and inspire us. The prime objective is to foster a sense of community amongst residents and corporations alike through meaningful and inspiring content.

Screenings can be organized for internal audiences, external audiences, as well as for general public as a CSR, cause marketing or community engagement initiative.

Our Belief

We believe in creating a better world - A world where life is driven by shared human values of benevolence, community, compassion, kinship, friendship, health, happiness and security. These fundamental values unite us all regardless of our backgrounds and belief systems.

Through these shared values we develop a sense of community, where we can thrive and advance towards creating a better world together; a world of equal opportunity, where every individual has the ability to pursue their passion in life. It might sound farfetched, though the human mind has no boundaries, nor should ones actions to realize those beliefs.

Maiden is the story of how Tracy Edwards, a 24-year-old cook in charter boats, became the skipper of the first ever all-female crew to enter the Whitbread Round the World in 1989. Tracy's inspirational dream was opposed on all sides.. but Tracy refused to give up !
